Before joining forces, both Eric and Joanne built strong foundations in law through diverse professional paths. Each began their legal careers as associates in Kenyan law firms before branching out into the corporate world:
- Eric served as in-house counsel in the banking sector for nine years.
- Joanne worked for five years with a Big Four accounting firm, where she developed a strong interest in tax advisory work.
Their time in these high-performing environments underscored the importance of active listening, empathy, and the deep value that comes from building trusted, personalized client relationships. Joanne returned to private legal practice in early 2011, where she has remained ever since, steadily building a practice grounded in excellence and client service.

Eric and Joanne share more than a professional partnership, they are also life partners, married since 2012, and proud parents of two sons.
